Anyone in Wichita with AE scan tool willing to help?

Hey fellas, I was hoping to find someone who is willing to help me out. I need to get my truck scanned to find out why it's not starting. It's a 1997 F350 PSD dually. If anyone in the Wichita area has a scanning tool and is willing to help I would greatly appreciate it. I know nothing comes free in life so I'm willing to throw in some money or a case of beer, or both. Hell, I'll even pop a few open while you're here. Thanks in advanced.

Sorry no one has responded to you down there. I'm not aware of any of the active members there having AE. There are a couple of PSD owners in the area though. Did you try on the FTE PSD forums? There may be someone one there who is not active in the Kansas Chapter.

Thanks, no I haven't tried asking for help anywhere else. I ended up towing it to a diesel shop. Weather is coming in this weekend and I just can't afford to wait anymore. Ended up being water damage to my PCM....and it's expensive to buy from ford!

Good luck on the PCM. Can you find one in a salvage yard down here?

Well here's the deal. According to my mechanic, there are about 6 different part numbers for the 1997 Powerstroke PCM's. If I even get lucky finding one that matches my truck, he would still have to go in and reprogram the computer. He did do a quick check around town, but no luck.

Well it's a small price to pay to have a PCM flashed. Just buy one that's a 96-97, which would be the closest to your year PSD. The only big thing that will matter will be if it's a manual or auto PCM.

Sorry I can't help you. I have an AE scan tool in the future purchase list, but won't have it until next month or so.
