I put chrome camps on mine about 6 weeks ago. I thoroughly cleaned the mirror with alcohol. They actually fit better than I thought they would. I waxed them up real well and they have a good finish. A south Louisiana summer will be the real test. I paid less than $30 with free shipping from ebay.

You ain't chitting, if they'll stay on down here ( south Ms./ La.) in the summer, they'll stay on anywhere.

I hate those chrome caps and I sand/paint them black as soon as I get the truck home from the dealer.
They look nice but the sun finds a way to glare off them and it bothers me. I also don't like the reflection while I'm driving, they reflect everything I'm driving around and the perceived motion always makes me look. Any time I see motion I'm drawn to look.
