Help !! 93 f250 towing capacity

I have a 93 f-250 extra cab 7.3l non-turbo diesel. 4.10 rear-end. I can't find a table in my owners manual that gives me the GCWR or the max. trailor weight so I can figure the max. towing capacity. None of the tables are for the diesel engine. What is my towing capacity? Thanks

Try looking at the sticker inside your drivers door frame.

I the GCWR should be 20,000? The GVWR is 8800lbs ?

Your truck is probably 6700 lbs or so with you and fuel. So you have about 13000 left before GCWR max.
But weight on the rear axel may limit you a bit.

The goods news about the 93 year, and I assume similar years, is they are light. If you do the math the 3/4 ton is really ~ a 1 ton.
8800-6700~2000 lbs not 1500 lbs.

Bad news is the no-turbo units will not break your neck with the acceleration to say the least.

The 1/2, 3/4, or 1 ton designations no longer have anything to do with weight carrying capacity. You have to go back to 1950 or so to find a 1/2 ton truck that hauls 1/2 ton.

BTW, I have an 83 Ranger that can carry 1400 pounds and a 73 F250 that does 3700 pounds (GVWR - weight on pink slip). I don't think you'd call them 3/4 ton and 2 ton (respectively) trucks.
