Mine is a gasser (6.8l), so it only has 1 battery. Think I am going to go for the additional. Need to make up a bracket. Sure as hell not going to spend $400 for a lousy battery mount. lol

I'd also look at your plow connections and wire size. If under rated for this amount of amperage, you're creating way too much heat, which will unnecessarily put more pressure on the battery and alternator to meet its needs.

Yea I thought that was pricey for what you get, and not sure what the solenoid is for.

I think if it was me I would upgrade the alternator to a high output unit. In your application the demand on the electrical system is high. Just my .02 FWIW.

The solenoid is acting like a relay, for isolating the batteries.
I used to see these, a lot but I used purpose made isolators, instead.
