I don't remember exactly what I paid at Oreilly's for that Wix filter but I think ti was not as low as the NAPA price, maybe $17 and change. NAPA in my area is 1/4 mile from O'Reilly's so next time I will check NAPA.
I stand corrected on the oil pressure restrictor fitting. The 90 degree one I sent the pic of is sccrewed into the block next to the OP sender. I wondered why to hole was larger than the one in your picture. So the tubing that goes from the block to the inlet of the filter on the side is where the restrictor is? So if someone ordered the two oil filter tubes assembled as I have seen them in parts catalogs, the fitting at the fiter end woukd have the restrictor in it? Or is the restrictor in the oil filter housing itself?
I thought I had my oil leak fixed. It was leaking a little at the fitting on the block, but also leaking a little at the sending unit. I hate the thought of taking the snder out, as it is a PITA to work on.

The restrictor screws into the oil canister inlet (pipe thread), and has a female flare on its inlet, that the tubing screws into. Not included with the tubing.
Do yourself a favor and convert to the '51-on arrangement. The OP sender is mounted in a Tee just ahead of the restrictor. The actual OEM arrangement was a special Tee with the restrictor built in, P/N 1BA-6073. Much, much easier to get to the sender up top. Just plug the hole on the bellhousing if you move the sender.

Thanks Ross, that's really helpful. I didn't know that Henry fixed that god-awful placement of the sender 1in 1951. I assume I can get the 1BA-6073 somewhere (not Lowes or O'Reilly's for sure) : - ).
From the illustration you sent, it almost looks like there wouldn't be clearance enough for the stock oil pressure sender on that tee fitting, but obviously there is. I will need to extend the wire also, as I am sure it won't reach the new location.
I will hunt for the 1BA-6073 on the usual websites. The hole in the block probably has a fairly standard IP pipe size thread. If one wanted to, that hole could be used for a real oil pressure gauge. I am keeping my truck as stock as possible, so for me that's not an option.
