please help carter yfa inline 300 not keeping fuel in float bowl
1982 f150 300 six. Just had the Carb rebuilt. It's a Carter yfa 1 barrel. It done great at first but one day it popped gas back up the Carb because it lost its timing and now every time, I want to run the truck I have to pour gas in it to prime the system and after 2-3 times of doing this the truck will start running on it's on. I was told it could be power valve since it popped back up the Carb but I didn't think yfa's had power valves any help would be greatly appreciated

They don't have powervalves, but they do have an accelerator pump, which is sorta/kinda the same thing. I imagine you'd have issues if the diaphragm was ruptured.
On a different note, when I first got my Bronco, it had this issue. It had to be primed to get it running, and then would run on its own. The problem was the fuel pump, as the diaphragm was bad and would let fuel drain back out and back into the tank. It was just strong enough to keep it running.
Just some things to look into.
