Fuel injection conversion

Has anyone seen these fuel injection conversion kits on eBay, or has anyone ever tried installing one?

The only reason why I would think about doing anything like this is for the E4OD trans.

I've tossed around the idea of upgrading to 92-96 fuel injection and then having the running gear out of that, but i'm not sure the steps i'd have to take to make sure the cruise works as it should without having to have something too wild or custom made up.

On my 86 F250, it currently has a C6 in it, and I would like to have a 4-speed auto in it. The AOD's were used on 302's and 351's if i'm not mistaken, so trying to find one that would bolt up to a 460 I think would be quite the task. Plus it has to be able to handle the torque and hp of it as well. (not like it's some straight piped monster truck here, running methanol but it's no slouch either)

I know about Gear Vendors and tail shaft overdrives, but I can't use 4wd with it.

Is there anyway to have a factory Ford 4-speed auto bolt up to a 460, and still be able to use 4wd like normal, AND use cruise control like how it is now? Or will there have to be a plethora of sensors installed with new computers? I have no problem with putting in more computers to make it run better, and installing O2 sensors wouldn't be a big deal either.

I'm just looking for what my options are.

Thanks as always guys!

You could use one of these with the factory E4OD. And you could still keep your carb.

The US Shift Transmission Control System

I believe there may be other companies that also make shift controllers.

I just got off the phone with them, looks like grand total with shipping would be $605 out the door, so that's not bad at all. Gear Vendors kit was crazy priced, and I watched an episode of Hot Rod garage where they installed one on an old Super Bee, and honestly, it looked a little too complicated for my tastes.

It looks like their controller would plug right into the transmission, and then it handles it from there, using my gear driven speed sensor, i'd be able to retain my factory cruise and then be able to have a auto 4-speed!!!

There may have to be some extra work to get the TPS sensor to bolt up to the carb, but i'm not afraid of that.

Reps sent Franklin, you da man!!
