With a 3" body lift you can run 40's.

Otherwise, 38's and stock wheel wells.

Nice build. 6" lift and 38's will be a bit stuffed. But that's more of a personal preference.

heres my other lil side project fora couple days...
found a 200 on craigslist that was donated by ford to a tech school to teach tune ups. never been in a car. only on a stand with remote start. then given to a guy for a mustang but he never used it. tore it down a lil ways. everything seems tight. flushed the engine thoroughly. replaced the frost plugs, gave it a quick paint job and a new thermostat and salvaged all the good parts from my other 200 n popped em on this one. gotta grab a clutch alignment tool tomorrow since i cant find mine then throw it back in the falcon n try to bring her to life

I need to swap out the little 6 in my Econoline, motor I got was the power unit for a Generator and the company had it rebuilt after 10 hours the generator took a crap so they just bought a new one.

May as well sneak in a picture of the Falcon since you're teasing us anyways. haha

Check your pinion angle wedges. I think they need reversed. I know this because I did the same thing and later changed it and it had less vibration with the thick side to the front. This applies only if you have a drive shaft with 2 u-joints. If you have a driveshaft with the double cardan (3 u-joints) then its probably fine. With a 2 joint shaft you want the transfer case yoke and pinion yoke to be as close to parallel to each other as possible. With the double joint the pinion needs to point straight at the t-case yoke. Nice progress.

For a 1st car I'd say you're spoiled rotten, then again you had to do the work to get it there. Very nice. Glad to see you kept the 6 instead of doing a V8 swap, they're a good motor for Economy.

found the car on the way home in oklahoma from a trip to texas. snagged it for like 1500. then started buying parts n had it restored just before i got my license. had the option to go v8 n i chose to keep it original in that aspect. then took the 3 speed out n swapped in the 4 speed. i have another 200 on an engine stand that will be getting as built as it can n try n make some ok power out of it lol. ideally id love to turn this car into a gasser and keep the 6 in it. i was in the garage every night after school and sports for about 6 months with my dad and uncle finishing this ol girl

Good deal.

If I decide to do the 4x4 swap on my 61 Econoline that I keep debating on then the front solid axle will/would be up for grabs.

There are a lot of little mods you can do to the small 6s, the section for them on this forum is really dead but there's other great resources. I suggest a Harley CV carb with a simple 90* intake adapter.

back on track and back to the crew cab
woke up today n cleaned n re-organzied the garage. then i wheeled the 460 out of the corner n the sickness inside of me all started by popping off the spark plug wires. once i start doing something like that i usually wont stop til its done...so i tore the entire engine apart haha. but now shes ready to be cleaned up n start buying more parts for the engine build. found everything i need to convert the top end to full hydraulic roller and will be running the comp cams big ***** thumpr cam. im not overly worried about power. itll be mostly a driver/cruiser so i want it to sound great when im pullin in somewhere or sittin at a light n some nasty cam lope always turns heads.
time do some cylinder head research and start adding up parts. my engine has D3VE heads on it. a buddy of mine has some D0VE heads if i decide to go that route, but thats what my head research will determine.
also got my rear driveshaft bolted on. now to find someone in the area to build one for my front diff
heres a few pics from todays progress

mid teardown

cam and a few lifters didnt want to cooperate but i got them out with a lil persuasion

they just want to be together again
