250 I6 Intake

Hey everyone, I have a 250 I6 that I am building to put in a 93' Ford Ranger. I am building the engine for torque, not really a street burner but just low rpm torque. I have a 32/36 Weber carb that I plan to run on it. Of course this engine came with a 1V carb so I had to install an adapter. So to simplify the throttle, I turned the carb 90* opposite of what is normally seen.

Here is what I built

So for a low rpm torque engine, is this gonna cause a problem or will it be okay? I don't think the header will be a problem like a couple of people and myself thought by looking at the finished header, I think I'll be okay. I saved the piece I cut out of the manifold just in case this didn't work out but sure hope this will work.

That kind of manifold is always lousy for distribution. It will be an improvement, but you'll have to run it to see how it powers up. The old 3 x 1bbl trick might have been easier.

JMO I think you will get better results in the six forums.

You could have gone nuts and done EFI......
