I had my truck in - finally - for an oil change plus the reflash. The dealer is 30 miles of mostly open road driving. I zero'd the Lie-o-meter just to check fuel mileage each way. Going, cold engine, 41*F oil @10*F ambient to start out with, it was 16.7 mpg. After the reflash and traveling the exact same route plus being stuck behind the same @#$% 18 wheeler for about the same number of miles, the Lie-o-meter registered at 19.4 mpg though with a warm engine and 23* ambient. WOW!! 2.7 mpg better. Yep, at least today. Do I believe that is 'real life'? Only if I believe in the tooth fairy and Santa. Shifting 2-3 seems a little stronger and a throttle dead spot has disappeared plus the idle speed is back where it belongs at ~600 rpm instead of 900-1100 since really cold weather has been here. I was also able to get a copy of the OASIS - looks like the PO had some problems with the CAC, NOx sensors and the turbo right after it was delivered tho I've not had any.

Oh and no regen nor any low DEF warnings yet

Had the recall done last week (Friday). First regen today. It lasted 24 minutes and peak temp on EGT4 was 1200 degrees F. 24 minutes seems like a long time to me but I admit I didn't pay a lot of attention to the times before.

2013, 49k miles and had ours reflashed while in for other maintenance.

1. Seems to be an improvement in mileage while towing. Not phenomenal, but noticeable (maybe 1/2 to 1 mpg). Today we had a decent headwind and still got just over 10 mpg (16k fifth wheel).

2. We've always had a pretty good "bark" sound on a 3-4 upshift when towing. Haven't heard it at all since the flash (crossing my fingers on this one).

3. Today while towing and running with cruise on and in tow/haul mode, the truck downshifted itself eventually to 3rd gear (running 55) to retard speed going down a pretty good interstate grade. I never remember it dropping more than one gear before, eventually allowing the truck to keep gaining speed until I intervened.

We haven't driven enough unhitched to comment on regens or bobtail mileage. Will see how it does in the longer term.

I had this recall done on my 2011 F-350 and its been doing a continuous regen and i can't get better than 150 miles out of a tank of fuel. My dealer doesn't have a clue why it will not come out of regen. Has anyone else had this issue??

Someone else posted an issue like that. I am surprised that your Ford dealer has not called Tech support. Ford HQ has a bunch of engineers to help them out when they get stumped.

I am thinking on the modules that needed to get updated didn't take the update, but that is just a SWAG at this point.

They have called and Ford hasn't come up with a resolution other than "you'll have to change the PCM, DPF unit, and a bunch of sensors" all for $12,000. I'll buy a Dodge before I put that kind of money into this toilet.

Oh and that's on Ford's buck to fix the problem, not yours. If they resist, your friendly lawyer can handle the problem

I got the letter and need to get in to get the flash done. I have a 2012 with 42k miles. Looks like I also have the dreaded radiator leak. I do have an extended warranty. I just noticed last night that I have another leak. It's coming from the area around the windshield washer reservoir on the passenger side. I can see the water dripping off of the frame rail. Hopefully, I can get this all taken care of soon. It's a great inconvenience and disappointment.

Calm down? Just saying it the way it is. Two brand new guys show up and complain, one of which says that a Dodge may be in his future. Amazing that those folks are never taken to task and will quite possibly never be seen again as happens so many times on a product specific forum.

Oh and my May 2010 build 2011 6.7 after Recall 14E03 was made has not even gone to regen yet in about 150 miles

That's funny Sultan. It's not cold here in TX, but not that warm either. Definitely not the AC.
I'm going to re-fill the washer reservoir tonight to see if it leaks more or holds the fluid.

I'm not going anywhere. I've actually been a member for a few years, just not very active. The truck is built Ford Tough for sure but I can't say that for the engine and emissions system. I've had 5 turbo's done and a handful of injectors(truck didnt even have 100 miles and it needed 2 injectors), a EGR cooler, multiple SCR temp sensors, urea level sensor, and a urea injection hose. I'm a long time 6.0L tech and master transmission rebuilder, but I'm still learning about this new engine. I love the 6R140 transmission along with the 5R110, huge improvement over tye E4OD/4R100

When are you headed in to the dealer, bbaudoin? I'll be able to research ways to help once you've received a diagnosis. Keep us posted.
