Motor Oil Question

I just traded in my 98 F150 for a new 2003 Lightning.

In the Old truck I ran Valvoline Full Synthetic Motor oil, would anyone have any suggustions on what oil to run in the Lightning or would this be good for it also?

Also, what about oil additives? I ran Z-max in the old truck and did notice that after I started that, the truck ran cooler than before. And I figure cooler=better.

Any reason I should not use Z-max or something like it in the
Lightning.

Thanks in advance for any help.
