This is when I took the front clip off and got a good look at my new motor
Took the cab and bed off and got her to run like a top
I took the motor Apart to make sure that nothing was cracked and to clean the carbon off of the pistons and valves and then installed all new gaskets all of the way around.
I purchased a Por15 kit and degreased the motor and painted for tbird red
Here is the motor

Okay more time to post today. I originally was going to use the red cab that was from my original truck but one Saturday morning I was doing the normal craigslist search and found two parts trucks that had a lot of extra parts with them along with a tailgate that I did not have yet and I brought them both for a good price. I went to look at them and one of the trucks the guy had parked in the barn for most of the time that he had it so the cab was in really good condition. the only things that were wrong with it was that it was rotted out on the bottom corners of the front window, the driver side floor mount was all rotted out and the passenger side of the cab was rotted out pretty bad. like I said the cab came with a bunch of extra parts with it and I was digging through the cab and cleaning it out and found a new set of window seals for the front and rear window. (SCORE!!!!!!!) Below I will post pictures of the work on the cab.

MY new cab
Took out the windshield and found this S#$@
Same thing here
Taking the cab off anybody need a frame and motor?
Luckily my dad had the front part of a cab he saved and we cut the parts we needed out of that.
One side done
Here is the master at work
New door corner and the rotted out cab mount to be replaced
Front driver side wheel well was rotted out in the corner so I welded a patch in
this cab corner was pretty good it had some cracks in it so I took a cut off wheel cut the cracks open and welded them back up
this was the bad corner when I got it, it was packed with mud and bee hives
This was the first real patch that I made and I think it turned out pretty good
out with the old and in with the new!
Made a new patch for the bottom too even with the rib.
I had to add in a patch higher up too because there was another crappy section up higher
let the filling begin

Thanks guys. I have been using a paint stripping disk on the large flat surfaces but I sad blasted all of the joints and the floor and non flat spots. To get the rust that is not sanded off I have been using krud kutter to get in cleaned out and then been using a rust converter before I epoxy primed the cab.
