1995 ford rims on a '79

I've got a chance to scoop up a set of 15" rims, like these:

(not my truck, just using the pic)

I'm having a helluva time visualizing these on a '74-'79 styleside. My old steelies+caps are showing their age, so I thought a set of these may look a lot better...especially if I can get them for a very reasonable cost.

Anybody have these on their truck?

Any fitment issues? (I know the bolt pattern is the same 5x5.5 however not sure about offsets)

^ These are genuine Ford styled aluminum wheels that were used on E/F150 & Bronco.^

The plastic hubcaps (Ford called them ornaments) on this truck attach to the wheels with 3 chrome screws and nylon anchors.

Styled aluminum and styled steel wheels introduced in 1977 F100/150 & E150, Bronco's got 'em in 1978.

There are several different versions of styled aluminum and steel wheels used thru 1996.

My brother has them on his '79, no issues at all but looked way better than the steelies.

I love the look of these Alcoa wheels!! I think they are a great look for the 73-79 era trucks & bronco's.

Recommend grabbing new lug nuts for the aluminum wheels. But I bet you knew that already.

yep!

Thanks for the bronco pics too, those look great -- l'll check out these rims on the weekend (need to measure width, make sure they're not the skinny variant) and odds are these will be on my styleside by spring

No problem, glad to help!! They are from 92-96 F150's and bronco's...factory Alcoa wheels. I am running 265x75x15 tires!! I'm think they are 7" wide but remember for sure!!

well, I picked up a set of Alcoa's, for a fantastic price. Two of the centercaps are missing, but for the price I paid, I can live with that.

. They're good and straight, just need cleaning.

15"x5.5, 7.5" width.

I've currently got tires of size 235/75 R15 on stock rims.

If my research is right, factory size was 31x10.5 (265/75/15 if my conversion is correct) but that seems really wide for a 7.5" rim.

This isn't an off-roader truck by any means, and I'm not looking for huge wheels just to fill the wheel wells. I was hoping to get the factory-ish look from a '79 2wd F100.

Should I be looking for a 265/75 R15? (I have no idea if the 235 width tires are only there due to the steelies) These just seems really tall compared to what I've got already.

A 31x10.50 fits well on a 7" rim. It is the minimum recommended width for that size tire. 265/75r15 is the metric equivalent.
