Here in south Texas it doesn't snow much if it does it melts as soon as it hits lol, but we get some freezing from time to time that leaves ice all over the damn place. They put down sand though.

And for people wondering what "a little" salt can do, here's a picture of I-94 coming through Wisconsin today. There is NO snow on the road. All of the white on the shoulders and between the tire tracks is SALT! (there is snow in the ditches, just none on the road)
