Truck quit - "stop safely now" message, wont crank
Luckily I was sitting in the driveway. Pulled the truck out of the garage. It started fine, idled fine, did not make as much noise as I was expecting but was warmer in the garage than outside. Stopped in front of the garage door to grab a couple things in the garage, jumped back in and it quit before I could get it in gear and roll out. Weird. This is the first time I've ever had to get a tow.

Its at the dealer now. That was in the back of my mind too. Though, I have yet to get some spares. Hopefully that is all it is.
I dont have a scanner either. We'll see what this ends up being. Maybe Ill stock up on some things. Any thoughts on a good scanner? I dont want to program anything or leave any traces of "tampering". Are any of the scanners just that - code scanners?

Since it looks as though we have yet another and latest EGT sensor having gone bad. May one of you who has the information at your finger tips could go ahead and post the parts number as well as the contact information for those who have been putting off ordering a spare or two for that just incase moment...........like me whom has been procrastinating. LOL!!! Guilty as charged on this subject,

Hope you get it fixed quickly.
I just recently got my spare and threw it under the seat with a 13 mm wrench.
Got my spare parts from the dealer I bought truck from, they said they stock a few and have had a few go bad.
I think I am comfortable with what may happen and what to do when it does, Thanks to everyone on FTE.
