Yeah I did read that but then suddenly we're mentioning F-Series so not sure how that figures in.

My Uncle has a 99 E250 with a 5.4L and 370K. No major problems. The body is gone from Minnesota winters, but it still runs.

Dad just turned in his 03 E350 5.4L will 167K. No problems other than coils and a sparkplug replacement. It did not eject any either.

My V10 has 189K. One of the sparkplugs was out when I bought it. I threaded it back in last February. Still there. Since then I replaced a coil pack and a battery. Not bad for an 18 year old van. I average 12mpg with the V10, but it can keep up with many "faster" cars.
