Hey guys, just an update. The cross-firing was between the #8 and #7 wires. I will post a picture of the shiny spots where they were touching and which I would think was cleaned by the arcing.
Hauled a load of firewood in my 1950's Dodge half tone pickup bed trailer up US Hwy 50 today from Sacto to Tahoe area today and no missing. Not once. Not one miss since putting on the new spark plug wires and rerouting them per the wire routing diagram Conanski provided.
Black Ford XLT: I hear you on the fuel. Apologies to Iowa but ethanol is a political scam.

I'm glad you got the stumbling taken care of! I probably need to check my wire routing too. I get pretty lazy when I change wires and have them cross sometimes.
I just fixed an exhaust leak I developed finally when ended up being a section of the EGR tube I "fixed" leaking again.
When I replaced my cylinder heads, my EGR tube line cracked, so cut out that section and I put high temp silicon heater hose over the gap. It worked for a few years! However I started getting pinging the leak was so bad and I finally realized it was from that fix! No more pinging for me.
Anyways, I'll get back to you with the A/C filling stuff too, just let me know if you are getting close to getting around to doing that. I've gotten much busier in school recently with my senior design work and stuff but things will settle down in not too long.
