A little Christmas Story

About two weeks ago, I was riding my truck around town, and decided to stop at a Subway for lunch. While I was there a lady came up to me and asked if I would a favor for her. So I said "Sure if I can - what do you need". She told me she loved my truck and wanted to use it as a backdrop for her daughter and son in law's Christmas card.

So I followed her home about three miles away. She lined up her daughter (Ashley, Son-in law (Chris) and their son Joey (and their two dogs). They took about 100 pictures, and the one the decided to use is attached.

The funny thing is - Ashley said to me - "I love your truck. I acutally sat in it - I hope you don't mind". And I said "When did you sit in it"? She said "It was at uncle Terry's shop". (her Uncle Terry is a local mechanic that I have used).

Anyway, they really appreciated it, and I had fun doing it for them. And the bonus is my truck is just the right color for Christmas.

Ashley, Chris, Joey and the dogs. Christmas 2014.

Sometimes its so easy to make a big difference in someone else's life. Weather its a smile, some spare change, a sympathetic ear, or in your case a few minutes of your time. There are so many needy people around these days, it's easy to get calloused and just ignore to go on with our day. It says a lot about you to do what you did for that nice family. Kindness always comes with a reward, it may be the immediate good feeling we get when we do something nice for someone, or it could be something so much more that will come much later in life. Good job Joe, it was heart warming to read your post. Each good deed done does make a big difference, and matters so much.
