Murphy hates me I lost a main on my way up fishing. I'm going to rebuild but I need some advice on a 5.4 rebuild kit. I would like to get everything in one shot for the engine(5.4) Can you all sugest where I should get the kit from? Also I am going to rebuild the front end. I would like to put a lift on it but my budget is somewhat restrictive. So if anybody can give me some suggestions on a lift for $1000 to $1500 and suggestions for front end kits I would be very gratefull. I haven't checked past threads yet but time is of the essence.

I've never seen a complete rebuild kit for a 5.4.
Have you tried doing a search on Yahoo or Google?
Depends on what all is wrong with your engine but sometimes buying a rebuilt works out better in the long run. If you go that route I would buy a Ford Quality Renewal or Motorcraft engine from your dealer....if the price is comparable to others.
