Hey what can you tell me about this truck?

Hey, somebody is selling an 1995 f150 with a 5.0 and a 5spd.

Is that the same motor as a mustang 5.0? And what transmission is in it? And its an 8.8 rear end correct?

Also i have a 89 f250. Interior bits except dash should be the same right?

Thanks

Typical roller block, just like a mustang. The 5spd is not like a mustang. The mustang has a T5, the truck has a Mazda 5spd. Yes, 8.8 rear.

Interior parts from the 89 to 95 won't swap, except seats but door/dash are different.

95 F-150 302 is not a roller. Only HO 302 was roller used in Mustang, Lincoln and Mercury As said seats, some door panels are the same. Vent windows and dash changed in 92.

302's in the f150 from '92-up were roller.

I own a 95 302 and it is not a roller. 206,000 miles. all original. No roller. Maybe mine is rare.

Yours is rare. My '92, (Build Date 11/91), was a roller.

What do you consider roller?

Truck motors after 85 were roller capable, meaning... if you get all the roller stuff, cam, lifters, guideplates, hold down, pushrods you can retrofit a roller cam into them

Are you sure about that? What makes you say it's not? All 5.0 truck motors after 1991 got a factory roller cam.

The mustang 5.0 and truck 5.0 share the same longblock but the cams and intakes are different as are the pistons but both motors have the same CR. Since both motors are essentially the same they both have the same HP potential but it's takes less work to get the truck motor to it's peak because it has a better(higher flowing) intake.

If your truck is a 95 it should definitely be a roller, maybe another engine was swapped in. have you ever pulled the lower intake to confirm that it was not a roller?

Edit: didn't see the second page of this thread, lol
