AOD output shaft play

With the prop shaft off, the end of the output shaft on my AOD gearbox can easily be moved from side to side, over an eighth inch relative to the casing. I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me if this is normal or what I should be doing to fix it. Thanks.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Sounds like a 2wd, It should not have 1/8" play. Output bearing worn out.
