Gearboxz dpf-R + with electron tuner?
What you guys think about this setup? I have a minimax and love it but a friend of mine just bought a low mileage 2010 6.4 and wants to delete it. This looks like a good price, has gauges and provides 70 extra hp. He doesn't want to adjust tranny and doesn't need much more power. Thanks,

I think so too. I just hate to see him spend 2K on H&S Minimax when he really just wants a dpf delete, erg disable, little extra HP and plus no need to tune transmission. Also, I mentioned to him one thing I don't like about H&S is that on their trans running (not sure what you call it?) they allow the transmission to come out of gear under 50mph or so. Then when you apply fuel again it re-engages. This drives me crazy on curvy side roads so I end up using tow mode to stop it. I have no idea why they do this in the first place as I see no advantage.????

You might be better off with a Banks 6 gun that maintains the DPF and is CARB certified so nothing has to be removed. It is a plug and play inline with the PCM.

The hardest part of the exhaust delete was the joint where the DPF meets the muffler and tail pipe. Unbolt the hangers from the frame rail instead of trying to get the pipes off of the hangers. Leave the stock sensors in the pipes and use new sensors in the delete pipes (I used pipes with Bungs). I used an air chisel to slit the external pipe to help loosen from stock pipes. That way you can change over the exhaust for emissions testing in a couple of hours. It is easier as a two man job though.
