front fenders

I am needing to replace the front fenders on my 54 F350. I had a guy tell me the other day that F2-F6 trucks used a wider wheel opening than the F1 trucks. Not that I doubt him, but is this true? If so, where the hell am I gonna find a good set of front fenders for this F350?!?!

Yes...it's true for the F1-F6 trucks which go up to 1952. F1's have a smaller wheel opening than the heavier duty trucks. I can't say for sure on the newer trucks, but from what bigwin says, it appears that they continued to do that in the F100 versus F250/F350 trucks that came later.

a f350 could have either size front fenders depending on tire size, most common was the larger opening on the f350 series trucks. If your truck has the larger opening it should measure 38-39" across the bottom of the opening. The 1/2 ton opening is 34" across the bottom

C = F1/F100 / D = F2/F250 / Y = F3/F350 / T = F5/F500 / TH = F6/F600 / (TL = F4).

Thanks, Number. I wondered about that. The 56 f 350 I bought this summer had 6 16" wheels and 4 17.5 wheels yet they both measured 30" tall. Dennis
