My exwife did that once when the truck was new to us. Only once. My incurring wrath was enough to deter a repeat, especially with the sticker I had put on the cap that said DIESEL. Even painted it green to match the pump.
Twitchy, whereabouts are you in Texas? If you're close...

Yeah, where abouts are you?
I may be doing some traveling, just depends on if my Missus is able to get off work. We may head down south to be with her family for Christmas. It may just be us, then again with all that room, her Mom and sisters may come along.
Either way, it's a great opportunity to stretch the legs on the 6.0 and spend some time with family.

So, I just read this article, and if you are traveling on the East Coast, you might want to avoid Virginia, or at least keep the speed down. If you live there, then all I have to say, is good luck...

Here's a tip, don't drive like a di**. That means all you impatient MD yahoos stay home. You don't need to be in that much of a hurry if you plan properly. That means tell the wife you are leaving at least two hours earlier than you plan too. I've been driving in VA since 1993, I have NEVER been pulled over for doing my normal 5-7 over. Any more than that, you are just an ***. The problem is usually on the 95 corridor and you see all the out of state tags doing 20-25 over. No need for it. Even more scary when they are towing at 90+

I did find this part interesting, "...during the 2014 Thanksgiving weekend, Virginia State Police cited 2,312 people for reckless driving and 9,789 people for speeding. That's not even including all the tickets issued by local sheriff's offices and police departments."
That is a LOT of tickets!

I am in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area. I have to make a day trip to San Antonio tomorrow, but we will be in the Dallas area until the 28th. If any of you guys are in the area, I would love to get together and maybe grab some food and talk trucks.
I know a thing or two about speeding in Va. Several years back I got a ticket doing 86 on I-81. At the time, anything over 80mph was considered wreckless driving, a class C misdemeanor and had a $2500 fine. Never paid and never went back. I take the longer route through WV when making the trip down here. I won't even buy a Virginia Baked Ham anymore.....
