Sourcing a good cheap vinyl seat cover

My 1982 F100 has a cloth bench seat (of course)... I wanted to find a black vinyl seat cover that fits good but doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I want to leave the cloth just in case I don't like vinyl, but if I do, I want it to look decent to leave it on there for a while.

Don't really want to re-upholster the seat... Just looking for a vinyl seat cover...

Anyone have any suggestions on which manufacturers or where to buy?

Thank!

You are limited to what's being made now. If you want a cheap seat cover, most of them are the "saddle blanket" type and the others are the nylon stretchy type of seat covers. Nobody wants to sweat on a sticky vinyl seat cover.

I do! I want to sweat on a sticky vinyl seat cover! I've seen the saddle blanket style and the neoprene stretchy style. No problems finding those, just trying to find a vinyl seat cover. Seems to be hard to find one anywhere.

Is there anyone out there on the internet that sells them. I just can't seem to find any at all for this truck.. I don't have many if any options locally..

I don't know your definition of "cheap", but this is typical for a vinyl seat cover.

Truck Parts and Truck Accessories

There are other sources, too.

Those would be perfect, except like i said in the first post, I don't want to reupholser the seat. I'm looking for a seat cover to go over the existing seat upholstery. The price isn't really the problem. I said cheap, but I guess cheap is relative.. I can handle a couple or few hundred dollars for one. I just can't seem to find one...

I know you are looking for cover and not reupholster, I just can't resist to showoff

That's my rebuild & reupholstered (matching colors) seat - $500, expansive but... :

I like the seat the way it's designed - bench with armrest plus bucket.
I pulled it off 1988 model from local Pick&Pull:

I guess that model fits your 82 F150 without modifications? I really, really like that bench seat design better. I may have to hit the junk yards and start looking! I'm guessing it should also fit my 1982 F100..

but! any cover or upholstery will cost more for this seat because of it's configuration and armrest, that's what my upholstery guy told me.
