So put bluntly - you are an overkiller.

Not everyone can afford that, but it is a strangely "Military" way of going about it. If you have the budget and connections behind you, replacing in sets insures roadability for a price

You are also experienced in the industry. You see things before they become problems and act to prevent trouble later

My thought about affording it is I find it better to do things at home rather than when I am vulnerable on the road. I had a customer not long ago who used Good Sam to find him a tech to give him a jump as his battery was dead. Had to wait for the service and was charged $250 for what took about 5 minutes. I hate stuff like that and I know I can't always avoid problems, but I try to cover the obvious.

My greatest concerns are focused on the parts that I need to get me from point A to point B. I can bypass almost anything else that goes wrong if I am camped.

GOOD SAM sounds like he is making GOOD MONEY

.....

I have always lived in such a way as to be self sufficient - and GOOD SAM sounds like a bad deal.

A "DESERT RAT" does things in a different way. We think first about what we might need, and plan accordingly.
TOOLS figure strongly

GOOD SAM screwed that guy good - I don't need GOOD SAM, all I need is ME

When you think about it "GOOD SAM" is theoretically short for good SAMARITAN - which is someone who will help you out.
~ But that jack hole just helped himself to some cash. Am I wrong here?

DON'T BE A VICTIM - IT IS BAD FOR YOU

$250 to charge a battery is a real strange idea to me...

Something about that just screams "DISHONEST"

EXCUSE ME, BUT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT TIRES - and how long they last

Lets stay on track BUG me, and I will BUST YOU with your own words

Now about long lasting tires...

Theo once told me that I could not make him angry
At best - if I tried, I could annoy him
I have thought about that for many years, what he was telling me
I realized that if I took things into myself, I agreed with whomever was bugging me.

But I have the right to set such aside - away from me.
And so I have the option to be angry or not to be
To consider the source, and decide if it was valid or not
And so I now have the ability to choose what I care about

I DO NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT THE BACKGROUND of anyone talking to me
I can step back and realize that what works for me is true -
I don't have to accept what anyone else shoves at me
~ as if it were gospel

I don't have to change how I think for you...

So you can't **** me off. UBU/IBI

Now, you were saying?
(He eventually states, quietly)

Some tires last longer than others - I wonder what they are?
