2010 F150 Trouble
Have had check engine light on for a while, had it checked at local garage and was told it was to do with fuel tank venting. Truck didn't bother so he haven't fixed it yet. We now have abs light and traction control light on, and was told it was probably faulty sensor because wiring looks good. How do you know which wheel is bothering. Used scan tool but all it would pick up was PO451,p0453,p0446 to do with fuel venting. Last few days our truck quits completely and is jerky as throttle seems to cut out and then back in repeatedly until it stalls. Then after while it works fine. Would those codes do this? You would think if vent was plugged you would here it suck at gas door. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Similar Problem
Were you able to get this fixed? I have a 2012 F150 Ecoboost and I keep getting the P0453 code but only when it is cold out. Works fine all summer but start getting the code in cold weather. I had it in to the dealership 3 times last spring but now I am getting the same code again. They said they updated the software and dropped the tank, not sure what they did while it was down but I am still getting the error. If this problem was solved, can you please post the resolution for others?

Thanks for following up, roadrunner71. Since this concern has returned, I'd recommend going back to your dealership so they can address it. When you head in, let me know and I'll escalate this to your regional customer service manager. All I need to get the ball rolling is a PM from you with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership.

Can't PM
Thank you Crystal. I am unable to send PM's. It says that I do not have permissions. I did take it in to Brighton Ford in Colorado. Roger said that it is getting the same code it was getting in the spring. He said they have a call into the hotline for assistance. The technician is thinking maybe just a bad connector since they already replaced the sensor.

I was able to send you a PM this morning; check out your inbox and see if you can access it. If not, you can always give our Customer Relationship Center a call at 1-800-392-3673; they will be happy to help.

All Fixed
It appears that my truck is all fixed. The dealership had it for a week trouble shooting and ended up finding a missing pin in one of the wire harnesses. They tried a few different things but the error kept coming up. They were down to just the wiring so they decided to just replace the whole (I think) main wire loom. I have been driving for a week with lots of temperature fluctuation which would have been a CEL for sure before but everything appears to be fine now. Big thanks to the dealership for putting in the extra effort to get the root problem fixed.
