- Any ideas on what they are currently worth in decent shape?

Thanks.

Found these in the mid 50 catalog

Stolen, people hurt, saving money, fuel efficiency. I've heard em all. Take your pick!

I can definitely see more detail in the original but the re-pop looks good.

I saw that. I actually rewound the DVR and paused it to get a better look at it. I think it was from a 55 or 56 Chevy car.

Thanks for the pictures bigwin56f100. I had seen photos of the top side. I was just wondering how true the bottom side was to the originals. I've seen some guys try to repop parts and make them exactly the same as the original in order to fool people. Glad these ones aren't done that way.

I'd say your bird (looks to have been replated to me) is worth $700

Yes, I believe it has probably. I've had guys ask about it and I've told them $500 - $600 (depending on the day, lol) before and they acted like I was nuts!

You're probably pretty close to what its worth. Decent is such a noncommittal word when referring to condition. It has a very wide range in what it actually means. Your bird looks actually very good and doesn't appear to have any pits or need any work. That pot metal repair and plating is time consuming, expensive work, that's why I gave the lower value earlier.

Question about mounting the eagle anybody know what size the mounting bolts are? Also I believe I've read somewhere that only the two rear bolts are used during mounting. Also since it appears I am on a roll gasket or no gasket?

The one I sold to Kevin used front and rear, but being a dealer installed item, it may have been differently at each one.. No gasket on it when I pulled it.

Because all the "cool guys" started shaving them off in the 50's, and Detroit follows trends and fads. Like the Fedora, excess trim went the way of the Dodo.

I don't care for the paint on that one either, looks like a mid 60's Chrysler 300 grille
