E99 Injection control module

As I understand it the early ICM is a 110V based unit. And the late 99-03 IDM120 was a 220V based Injector control module would it be safe to say that would be a nice upgrade on a early model? I have a chance to pick one up cheap.

If its cheap, I'd grab it. Even if you don't change it, its nice to have spare parts. Things like an IDM are not that easy to find, especially when you need one NOW.

Grab it and keep your old one as a spare. My original gave up on me one morning.

I'd grab it also. Install and save the old for a spare.

You understood incorrectly.

They're both going to output 100-120 volts depending on age and condition.

would it be safe to say that would be a nice upgrade on a early model?
It would be safe to say that the vehicle will run the same with either one.

I have a chance to pick one up cheap.
If it's cheap, it doesn't hurt to have a spare.
