Did a ton of stuff... no start now.

Just did a egr delete...
oil cooler... New mishimoto radiator. .
Oil change. .. trans change.. All filters. . Cleaned turbo.. did the CAC hoses.. tons to list.
Truck won't start...
2 things..
1. I only unhooked the alt. From the battery. Hood was open for a while.. light bulb was on for a few days.. but that is a small bulb.
Truck has 2 new electrostat batteries when I bought the truck. Need to change those I'm sure as that's an off brand. But they are new.
2. I did a egr delete... with that still plugged in will it cause it to not start?
I went over everything. .. and I'm very meticulous and took my time with everything I did.
Any help would be much appreciated

Ok... got it started... But..
no power. Sounds like something in turbo. Hit gas( while parked) and can't get it above 2000 rpm. Turbo seems louder than normal. Like a clicking sound. Gas pedal has very little response.

It can take a lot of cranking to get it going again.

Did you plug the VGT back in?

Check your FICM plugs, one is not likely fully clipped in.

If not FICM plug, check the injector connectors.

2,3,5,8 are all on the middle connector. So double check that one.

You be the man sir!
Fcim connections were loose.
Fixed!

One more question.
Can I run it without a thermostat for a little bit.. meaning a couple hours.. flush when I get back again... have an estimate to go do.. will it hurt anything? I have straight distilled water with new radiator in it.

Thanks for your help!

Won't hurt anything if you keep an eye on your operating temps. Remember that the water will boil very easily.

I actually think it's beneficial to do it. It helps purge any flush chemical you might have used more thoroughly.

The turbo seems to be making like a vacuum leak sound. I checked the clamp in the back drivers side as and tighten it some more. I don't want to over tighten it.
Is a small vacuum leak sound normal from that area of the turbo and if not what am.i missing.
She sounds good and runs great otherwise.

Most likely the up-pipes not correctly seated. Pull the clamp off and make sure it's seated flat. If not use a small pry bar on the bottom of the pipe and pry it up and in flat. It should sit flat once it's there. Then re-clamp it.
