Diehard Platinums, Motorcraft, and XS Power are my choices for batteries. I put some Interstate Megas in my SD when I needed batteries and they've been good so far. I've had XS Power in my OBS for prolly around 4 years now. The truck sits a lot now, but they still crank it over like nobodys business. Lol

Just after you put the XS power batteries in your truck Travis I put them in mine. They are wonderful except for the price!

 

I've got motorcraft in mine. They were in it when I bought it. So the are 3 1/2 years old almost. No issues to speak of yet!

We sell interstates at the shop. Never really had any trouble. Heck if I ever need a battery all I have to do is run to the shop. Lol.

Yes Glenn I've seen pictures of your batteries, they look like they mean business! Where do you buy XS? Are they regional? Guess I've never looked much into it. Maybe I'll have to consider them or the Die Hards when the times comes. But I would like to upgrade to an AGM.

 

Summit racing but don't get shocked when you see the price, without looking I think they are the DS6500 or something like that. When I got them I was upset because mine left me stranded and I swore I would buy the 'best'.

 

They sure don't give those away in cracker jack boxes.

If they last ten years then its worth it. I have forgot and left lights on and no problem. They are great batteries. By the way, I looked and they are D6500's.

I put Motorcraft in mine. Only bad part is im a cheepskate and they go against my judgement lol. I bit the bullet and got a pair of Motorcraft batteries and a Motorcraft glow plug relay last year and spent over $400


If I had money to blow, Id get a set of Optima Redtops, but they REALLY go against my cheepskate beliefs lol. Theyre 1000 cranking amps vs 850 on the Motorcrafts

 

Optima is trash now. 10 years ago they were incredible, but now they are junk. The last set of Optimas I had only lasted 2 1/2 years.. Regular old Motorcrafts or Interstates will do way better than that.

 

It sucks but Travis is correct.optima is not what they used to be.

Heck I can't complain about these exude selects. I left the hood open and several days later it fired right up.
