Either that or you get an idle that sounds like it has a cam in it and it just lopes a little. At least that's what I have seen most commonly.
Twice now at hot startup it has romped. Never before since I have owned it has it romped. It was a violent one at that! Hopefully I can beg a buddy to bring the scanner from my old job over and I will run a cct and buzz test tonight.I hope one or the other will give the info I need to move forward.

How far have you driven it since you got it back together? You sure you don't still have some air in the system?

I think you were talking about replacing the IPR, have you done that yet?

Do you have a HPO X over line? Maybe these new injectors or more sensitive to that.
Also, I've heard the romp at start up could be the transmission range sensor not being exactly in the right spot.

I don't have an hpx. From my previous reading joey suggests not having a need with his pump.
The romp is only a hot start issue so far.
Jim is thinking this is a big injector vs..tuning issue possibly.imI'm going to do a cct and buzz test and see if either gives a specific injector...then pull that cover if I can lock that down...otherwise maybe an IPR for good measure and hope live tining helps.
Also I'm going to get the power struck tunes on and see if they idle different or better...this is uncharted territory here..am I missing something?

I'd try the other tunes first Aaron. If I were you I'd still look into putting a new ipr in too. Unknown how old it is, brand new setup, calls for a "fresh" one. JMO of course.

You speak much truth sir!
Going to do the tunes tonight and got the solus from my lil buddy.we will get some answers tonight!
Also after a discussion with jim and some history of how these ran....I prob have no actual issue but more a tuning and personality issue.
Wish me luck.

The tunes made a little difference.at first I was very hopeful. As soon as it got hot here come the missing. Power struck...so far no power! Couldn't even see 20. Just sputtered as soon as it tried to go.
I was going to drive it tomorrow but not sure now.

The scanner that I borrowed is ruined.they never used it after I left.batteries corroded inside and it won't come on.I give up.

Power sun struck out! What a joke

As soon as boost came on it fluttered and lost power...what a turd.flipped it back to Andrews tunes and hold onto your hat!!! And not on the highest tune. That fella brings the powa

After driving it to work the power struck tunes drive nice and idle is good enough to use the truck.IPR ordering tonight.

What do we tell everyone who has a problem? Take out the chip, see if the problem goes away. Have you tried that?

Problem with that Phil, is he isn't taking a chip out of a stock truck and returning it to stock. The tuning NEEDS to be there to make it run properly.
