Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum.
I have a Ford F1 year 1949 and I need to replace some parts that I can't find. Can anyone please give me a help? I'm looking for:

Thank you!

FORD F1 SPEEDOMETER

Hello again! I'm looking for another part for my Ford F1 now. I need the SPEEDOMETER; I found something but the price is too high, does anyone know where to find one not so expensive?
Thank you!

The speedometers show up on ebay once and a while:

48-50:

51-52:

You may also find someone on here who has modified their truck dash and thus has the original hanging around.

Additionally, you may want to give Green Sales a call with your query:

Green Sales Company - Obsolete Ford parts, Lincoln, Mercury parts Green Sales Company, supplier of obsolete Ford parts and Lincoln / Mercury parts. Our Ford parts inventory represents all Ford and Lincoln / Mercury products from 1950 to the present.

Everywhere I've looked for an actual horn button among the restoration/repro places comes up 'out of stock'. Anyone know of a place where one is actually available?, repro or otherwise, at a realistic price, for a 48 F1. I haven't even been able to find one for an unrealistic price.

Just checked Ebay; wouldn't you know it, there's an NOS listed for $40, ouch! Is that realistic? How about other years that would fit, or would a Ford car button of the period work.

48-52 truck is all that interchanges. If a repro that's unavailable would go for $25, is it worth a little bit more to have an original in your hands right away? I've never seen a good used button. The tabs on the backside are always broken off from ham-handed guys trying to pry it apart.

Hey Ermes,
Welcome Aboard! I think you may be the first person
from Italy to post on our section of the old Ford truck enthusiast.
Post a pic of your truck when you get a chance. Let's see what you are working with.

I do believe that I have a never mounted reproduction horn button that I bought years ago. PM me if interested. I can't look now we are "enjoying" a blizzard.

I might be run out of town ,but when I saw the price for front drums for my 52 F1 (98.00 ea) I did come size comparing and I bought rear drums for a 1979 F100 for about 39.00 each and that is what is on the front of my 51 F1. They have the correct offset , just wider where the shoes touch. I'm running the oem size shoes and have had no issues at all. Maybe later, when I wear out the front shoes . I'll change to wider shoes and hardware for them. Bought mine from pts geek.
