sway bar info

I have a 94 XL that didn't come with a sway bar. I was wondering what trucks to look for in the boneyard to pull parts off of ? I know I need to get the springer he's where the bar will connect to for the front but what do I need for the rear since I don't have one or the mounts on the differential.

You will want to install a rear swaybar at the same time that the front is installed. Otherwise the handling will become unbalanced. See if you can salvage them from another 2wd about the same year. There are a couple of manufactures that make aftermarket swaybar kits for our trucks out there.

just curious why you need a sway bar. i had a 95 f150 with 4"lift on 35's with no sway bars and it handled fine. i now have a 90 f250 and it came with front and rear sway bars and they were the first thing to come off and yet to notice any difference

I'm not looking to raise it like you did on the 95. And I'm assuming the 250 was a bit stiffer of a spring rate. I actually want to level out the rear with a shackle kit. I want to get rid of some of the body roll. I know it's a truck and all so not expecting a crazy difference.

I use LMC Truck to cross reference stock Ford parts. I don't think the front swaybar links will work between the 2wd and the 4x4 front swaybars.
