Does it have to be from a V8? Or will any gas engine work?

Just my opinion, but I think the red and white looks fantastic, especially with the black wheels. Doesn't seem to be all that common, either.
Project is looking good.

Thanks, I haven't decided yet on what color I'm going with. And I probably won't until the day comes to start painting.

Here's my most recent pic from a few months ago. It doesn't look this good right now though...The rust is really starting to show.

Are they going to paint the whole truck or just parts?

I'm going to get the entire truck painted.
It has two dents on the cab and a few paint chips. And it needs a tailgate, bed, fenders, and I'll probably change the rad support while we're in there.

Any plans on undercoating?
Considering waxoyl or a diesel-grease mixture for my car.

Yes, I plan on coating the underside of the bed and frame with POR-15.

Not big on POR, but to each their own!

Going to keep your BSM's? quite a few people who repaint delete them.

I'm not sure yet on the BSM, it depends on what color I decide on.

If I go with solid black (another choice I'm considering) then I will probably put it back on, the little bit of chrome looks good on a black truck.

Finally starting to make some progress on the bed for my truck.

New bedsides are on, and the body shop managed to find a perfect "new" Ford tailgate that someone had bought but never used.

Nice tail gate! I finally found a straight one on craigslist for my 87 for 100 bucks. Has the aluminum trim which I liked at first but am now kinda missing the big ford letters of the original bowed out gate. Maybe I should get one of each and swap em as the mood goes :P Keep posting pics, these kind of threads are fun.
