econoline for sale

Darin, I'm in NZ & have imported two ex-California trucks separately in the past, using Kiwi Shipping for inspections, pickup, paperwork etc, after I found suitable vehicles (both also on Craigslist).
There are also other similar companies over here doing the same type of work.
If a buyer wants them to, they will locate, inspect, collect, & ship a vehicle to order & price.......even VIN & register it for you, if that's what you want.
My point is that I assume there must be similar services available in Oz. If not, I would contact these guys....Import to New Zealand from USA............I'm sure it will be of help to you, in some way.
Both my imports went well, but I wouldn't do that type of deal without having a full (paid) inspection done on the vehicle before buying.
Good luck!

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the info on Kiwi Shipping. We've got a shipper that ships out of Los Angeles, we're just struggling to deal with some of the sellers on craigslist and we've got Main Freight here in Australia as well.
Who do you use to take out inspections on the vehicles before buying?
Cheers,
Darin

Hi Guys,
It's been a while but I can finally say we've found ourselves a van!!! It's been a long and interesting process but she's finally in the container and headed home to Australia. It should take 3 to 4 weeks to get here.
We weren't able to find a shorty but we've found a 1976 Clubwagon 351 slider door out of New Mexico. It will need some work but once she's home we can find out what she needs and source some parts.
Here's some pics

Hey Darin,
I am in NZ, and a friend of mine purchased this 1976 E100 van from a guy in OZ about 3 or 4 months ago. He paid AU $20K for it, which on the face of it seems like a lot, but it is in REALLY good condition, with very low milage, and needed little to no work to get roadworthy.
Main thing was a set of tyres, as the BFG's on it were 20+ years old and cracking badly. Anyway, your van looks great, do keep us posted on it.

Hi Conrad,
This is the size van we were looking for (but with windows) because driving on the left hand side of the road would make it extremely difficult to see out of the right hand side of the van (as you would know in NZ). Has it arrived in NZ yet?
Really looking forward to getting ours - it takes about a month.
I'm pretty sure I saw your van for sale in Queensland for $20K+

Hi Darin,
yes van arrived in NZ a few months ago. Visibility is a bit limited without side and rear windows, but has a rearward facing camera which helps a lot. Yes it was advertised at $25K. Van is actually gloss black, but has been vinyl wrapped in matt black. Gets a LOT of attention!
Yours looks good, what engine/trans does it have? Seats in rear?
Conrad
edit. just noticed it has 351
