F450 Super Duty Air Suspension

I just picked up my Rig from Valley Truck Accessories (Dentonis) in Stockton, California. WHAT A DIFFERENCE...! I had the Front (2 bags) and Rear (4 bags) 4 link with Auto height w/ dual rear dump valves installed. The system allows for stock height but I think they gave me a couple of inches lower at my request. the Dump (kneel) operation allows another 3-4 inch drop which makes it so much easier to work off the back of my Weld Rig. All the control switches needed were hooked up to my upfit switches and the (low pressure) light was thoughtfully placed to provide a clean installation. The ride is so smooth and controlled it feels like I just added 4 inches of foam it my seats. Valley Truck set the (supplied) Rancho front shocks on 7 and I agree. I had Valley install Bilstein's on the rear (the system doesn't come with rear shocks). Considering I put 105k miles on my 2006 3500 Silverado C.C. (Duramax) which was 3000 lbs. over weight but rode like my Denali, I am finely happy with my 2015 F-450 Lariat SC, CC 84" CA work Rig. Kudos to Kelderman (Mark Stek) and Aaron @ Valley Truck. If the $$ won't kill you but the ride is... GET ONE.. it's AWESOME..

54Barn Fuel Mileage

11.5 mpg at best but then I'm carrying 15,950 lbs. 6,200 on the front and 9,750 lbs on the rear. It rides like a dream.. worth every penny..
Just remember..! The Chassis Cabs do not get the 440 hp, 880 ft lb torque engines (those are only available in the pick-ups) nor do you get the turbo brake but you do get an 80 mph speed limiter.. (doesn't come on the pick-ups)

2015 f450

Yes sir, I am aware of the HP and torque difference. I am ordering the pickup because of that. I will pull the bed and put on a flat bed. I will be using this truck to pull a 32' gooseneck with two 15k air ride axles. I will be hauling gas compressor engines that weigh up to 22k. I have been in heavy haul business for 34 years and my age is catching up to me. I am selling my Peterbilt winch truck and trailer, as pulling 1 1/8 inch winch line and 1/2 inch chains has just about finished off my back.
I appreciate the info very much. I am going to be looking at this air ride suspension. It looks like the ticket.

That is a nice setup, that configuration would give you a bigger sway bar, it would eliminate axle wrap and ride nicer what more do you need! What air pressure do you keep the bags at?

54Burn / Air Pressure

This is the 3rd Truck I've used this bed on and it is a Chassis Cab bed (34" Rail spacing) Although I did get the Lariat in Chassis Cab Trim options are still limited ie, Garage door opener, Back-up Camera to name a few. I did install the Back-up Camera but it cost me $800.00 for the Integration Module (NAV-TV) but I kept the MySYC & MYFORDTOUCH with NAV and added TV. For no more than it cost (when ordering) I'd order it Decked out to the 9. You won't be able to get NAV after the fact unless you go aftermarket but then you loose the MYSYNC and MYFORDTOUCH I would also suggest ordering the tallest gears you can get (I ordered 410 Limited Slip) because your weight will eat the horse power right away and the torque will be all that's left and low Rpm's = MPG..
As far as Pressure goes, I ordered mine with the SLKD2WD-Self-Leveling Kit with dual dump valves (includes air dryer) and it's all hooked up to my Up-Fit switches. It comes with Air Compressor, Dryer, 3 Gallon Air Tank 4ea. Leveling Valves and all the Tubing you need to complete the installation. When you dump the rear it goes down 5-6 inches and when you shut the switch off it comes back up to (Level) the designated ride height.
