2003 v6 f150 dash blinking intermittent start
I recently aquired an f150 from a tenant, it's an 2003 with 219k, v6. When you first start it all the dash lights and needles go berserk and it will only run for a second, if you press the trip button over and over until eventually the lights are solid it starts and runs fine. If you disconnect the battery for a while it will also start and run fine. Any idea what this is?
Guy also said the intake runner control valve is stuck open, where is that at? Thanks everyone!!

The cold start reaction suggest the battery, cable connections need to be addressed due to low starting voltage.
Get this settled then proceed with other issues by first checking for codes, then act on those codes.
On these trucks, there is no quick fix to many issues until you define them and do the proper repairs.
The IMRC fault has a code associated with it. Be sure before you work on it.
Good luck.
