transmission

Looking for a new tranny for my 1987 automatic f350 6.9 found some on AutoZone website for 900 and change. Not sure if I want to go aftermarket, if I can find OEM I think it will be too much. And of course I don't want to do the job twice by going to the junk yard and getting one and it not working any advice?

check with a few local trans shops to get quotes on rebuilding your diesel c6 might be your best bet if you don't want to try a used one.
