Is it just my lack of experience with the Ex talking when I say: I don't really see the point in these? If money is going to be spent, wouldn't I be better off, long term, just getting C-codes and a sway bar?
Even with the spring change, the vehicle can be 'steered' around by the rear axle moving around. It needs to be held in place more securely on a vehicle of this height/weight.
Yes, there were 2 versions of the old ones- the new style are weld on. (Only two tabs on each spring perch).
After playing in the sand at Silver Lake Sand Dunes, in Hart, MI, I need an anti wrap solution bad. I get wheel hop when trying to crest over steeper parts of the dunes. I am looking at both options from Landyot and One Up Offroad. The OUO solution sounds great, but it is $$$$. Anyone know how to compare the two, and how much the Landyot solution costs, and where to buy it from?

I've had them on all 3 of my X's. If you go over to the FordExcursion forum there is a write up about spring wrap. The radius rods anchor the axle and greatly diminish horizontal and rotational movement of the rear axle. It works extremely well when you hit bumps and go flying off into the other lane. Sway bars are a big plus. Stiffer springs help as well. There are a number of opinions on what's the best way to manage various things. Wandering--look at alignment, etc etc. I can vouch for the radius rods as being really good. I have no financial interest in them in any way.
Why ?
What handeling characteristic are you wanting to change or modify on your 150 ?
Rear axle reverberation when travelling across bumps, pot holes or railroad tracks. The Landyot radius-rods eliminated that sensation on my Excursions ... simply made it ride smoother.
I have the Landyots and seemed to do NOTHING. Wandering all over the road before and after was exactly the same.
Are you certain they were installed correctly? I do recall one other guy posting his opinion that the radius-rods did nothing for him. He said his X didn't wander before installing the rods which made me wonder why he bought them in the first place.
There are some of us who cannot "feel" exactly how a vehicle responds to various vehicle changes or driver input. That sense of "feel" is what separates professional race car drivers from the rest of us. At the other end of the spectrum, there are drivers who have minimal, or no sense of "feel" at all.

The traditional way to control spring "reverberation" is with a dampener, a radius rod, link or traction bar is typically used to locate the axle and has no way of absorbing reverberation.
