There are devices that use pressure to force the lubricant into the differential.
This one is available at Advance Auto, but there are hundreds of different pumps you can use.

I've filled the rear differential on vehicles so many times, I think I could do it in my sleep.
New garden hose, long enough to reach to right-side wheel well. Tight-fitting funnel.
Insert custom-cut hose into fill hole.
Pour slowly.

I have the pump in the link below. Screws right onto Amsoil bottles.(but can pump from any bottle with the right tube length) I use it primarily to pump gearcase oil in my outboards, transfer case filled with ATF and for pumping gear oil in the diffs.

On rear inspection plate rear-ends -
With rear inspection plate OFF the differential, fill a ZipLock bag with the proper rearend lube (and any needed additive).
Zip the bag closed.
Lay the ZipLock bag on top of the carrier.
Install gasket (or gasket material) and re-install rear inspection plate.
Torque to specs.
With the rear differential off the ground, turn driveshaft (or wheels) to dislodge the ZipLock bag and shred it, which fills the differential.
This works, even though it sounds crazy.

For sure some plastic can get caught in the cage/ball/race and cause skidding. Not to mention can cause issue with other components. Usually guys that do hair brained stuff like that drive junk vehicles so it does not matter if it screws something up. A hand pump is cheap and has other uses. You are saving money by doing the job yourself so a little money on the right tool is not a biggie.

Please, no one do this... It's going to be almost impossible to get all of the plastic out

The bag idea is more-so a trail fix. If you have to take the cover off on the trail and have no drain pan, you can let it drain into a bag and throw the bag back in the diff just to get you home. No way I'd do it for a permanent change...
