Drivers side VCT Seal Leaking

My wife called me yesterday saying that the car was smoking so I checked under the hood and noticed the front of the drivers side valve cover was very wet from what appeared to be fresh oil. Looks like the VCT is leaking out of the valve cover. Truck has 71k on it.

Here are some pictures. Looks like the oil is blowing out of the Variable Camshaft Timing Valve hole. Is this common?

Oil appears to be coming from the Variable Camshaft Timing Valve

Oil is spraying on reservoirs.

I'd put some oil in it and open the hood while running it. It looks to me like the VCT Solenoid Cover more than the pcv.

Can I just pop the connector off and pull the seal out? Or is there some special technique? How delicate are the VCT sensors?

Wonder ing if your engine was running poorly because of the leak. Just had my solenoids replaced and still runs badly and noticed the oil was coming from the seal as well. I'm trying to find out if this problem could be causing my timing to to be affected due to low oil pressure.

Sorry I'm so late to reply. My truck was totaled 2 months ago so I don't get on here much anymore.

Explain your rough running for me.
