I would say either the coil or the PIP in the distributor, less likely the ignition module. Personally I would try the coil first, then the ignition module, before going to the PIP in the distributor. In that order for the ease of installation. You have to remove and disassemble the distributor to replace the PIP. Stay away from rebuilt distributors as most of them are junk. I don't know if you can buy an aftermarket NEW distributor for the 7.5 or not. All this being said, make sure it is ignition you are losing first. I'm sure you'll find it is ignition you are losing, but make sure. I will also say it is hard to test these ignition components when you have an intermittent situation like this.
