Need help with 1988 f250 4x4

My f250 7.5 won't stay running. It starts and runs for about 10 mins , then it stumbles and dies. Won't restart till it sits an hour or so.
I've ruled out the cat and it has fuel pressure. Any help would be great.

Is that a carburetor or fuel injected?

I would say either the coil or the PIP in the distributor, less likely the ignition module. Personally I would try the coil first, then the ignition module, before going to the PIP in the distributor. In that order for the ease of installation. You have to remove and disassemble the distributor to replace the PIP. Stay away from rebuilt distributors as most of them are junk. I don't know if you can buy an aftermarket NEW distributor for the 7.5 or not. All this being said, make sure it is ignition you are losing first. I'm sure you'll find it is ignition you are losing, but make sure. I will also say it is hard to test these ignition components when you have an intermittent situation like this.

Like I said it has fuel pressure at rail and filter. It runs for 10 mins and then dies and won't restart for a little while. When it dies it stumbles first and if you try to restart it tries to but, won't.

Check to see if you have spark through the spark plug wires while cranking the engine during that time when the engine won't start. If you don't have spark, my answer under #4 still stands.
