Can anyone help, is it a fine or coarse stud?

Coarse is avail for $114
Fine is avail for $220

Basically $100 difference for 8 studs to have a diff threading????

Oh and its the 5.4L

the cheaper set also is lacking the outer gasket and 4 mounting studs

I have the same truck but f350 with 7.3 and mine has fine threads.

 

Thank you. Mine seems to be also. Sadly why the $100 difference for fine threading vs coarse threading is beyond me as the internals are the same .

 

Seems to me just another way for someone to make more$$$

 

How do you folks properly torque the 4 mounting bolts into the hub assembly? I was going to just use a chain wrench and tighten the **** out of it with a lil blue thread lock on it.

 

If i had access to a proper shop and tools I would buy the cheaper and press my own studs into it just out of principal .....
