These were posted on Facebook tonight. Don't know anything other than what the poster posted:

The original Sanford and Son 1951 F-1 at the Piston Power show in Cleveland, Ohio.

I sure hope not. Perhaps they just cleaned it real good and it's glowing under the lights. Who'd ever thought 40 years ago watching the TV show that old beater pickup would be the star attraction of an indoor car show. Pretty amazing.

My faded Airflow shines like that after a good application of paste wax.

I read it sold for $28K on EBay. Anyone know the buyer or plans for the truck? Is this the most "famous or best known" F-1? How about Rick's on American Restoration, future collector vehicle?
I just like my '49 & '52, together they cost a lot less.

The buyer did post in this thread, I think midway, toward the end.

I doubt if Rick's will ever come close to being as famous as the Sanford truck.

I am so glad that the truck is out in the open for display to the public. When it was for sale I thought for sure it would go to a private collection in Dubai or some other far off place never to see the light of day again.
Thanks for posting the follow-up! Now if I can only talk the wife to going on vacation in Ohio....

Looks like the guys at Blue Line Classics have lots of fun. They have some great cars, I especially like the 1967 427 Shelby Cobra. Glad that people like that saved the old Sanford&Son F1.

Here's a quick update on the truck.....we're having a blast with it!! Cool video on our Facebook page if you'd like to watch. Every mechanical/electrical component has been rebuilt. It's the biggest hit at every show we take it to and every parade!

Check out this video of us reuniting the truck with one of the actors from the show!

Blueline, you guys are great for what you've done with the truck and to bring it around places for folks to look at it.

Would love to see it in person.
