Can't get brakes to stop squealing!

Just to clarify that this is SAE/OEM instructed practice and not something that I made up....

Hello I will help you with your question,
Brakes squeal from vibration in the range of human hearing. You move the vibration up or down in frequency ot eliminate it by changing the finish on the rotor/drum, greasing the contact points of the brake pads or shoes or adding Teflon pads or stainless shims between the contact points.
