Sold my 6.8l last January and just got it back!!!!!

Well we are all crazy about our v10s and just wanted to share my story. I have had many Superduty Fords but my favorite have been the 6.8l trucks. I have had several but my very favorits was my 06 CC lariat fx4. I searched many months and states for the "perfect v10" and found it four years ago. It was garage kept with only 32000 miles and excellent condition. Drove it a couple of years and put 10000 miles on it. Last January I thought I needed to get rid of it to get a SUV since I did not use it so much. SO I SOLD It to a local guy. Two months later I inherited a farm and also purchased a new home with some land. Anyone on this forum knows that you can not do without a truck and I am no different. So I started looking for another 6.8 and they are pretty hard to find. Started thinking about the 6.2 but never a good fit as I know I will miss the low end torq. I dug out the paper work and found the number to the guy I sold my truck to last January. He still had it. I asked if he would sell it back and he said he was thinking about down getting something with better gas milage. I totally agreed and told him how bad the MPG was and that I would be doing him a favor by taking it off his hands. Any way, he only had put 800 miles on the truck and had hauled a few loads of wood. I gave him what he paid me for the truck plus $200. I feld like I had hit the Jack Pot. I would have given him more if he had asked since I knew the truck. Anyway, Gotta love those the 6.8l superduty How do I attach a photo?

Now hang on to this time. These trucks are getting pretty rare and hard to find in good condition.

I was very lucky. I had been looking for another v10 for a few months and was realizing how hard it was to replace my 6.8. The guy that had my truck really did not know how rare they are and just sold it back to me for what he purchased it for. Only wear was a couple dents in the truck bed from where he had hauled some wood and 800 miles. I could not be happier. I purchased the truck with 32000 miles back in 2011. As I dont put alot of miles on it, it should last a while.

I purchased mine in 2009 with 38,000 miles and it now has 62,000 so I do not put many on mine either. Plan to keep it for a very long time.
