Single Mass 13" Flywheel/Clutch kit for $300
I put this kit in my truck last year, and so far its been good for a stock clutch.
I was looking at some posts, and it dosent seem like people know about this kit.
But anyways theres a cheaper option than southbend, luk or valair
and its got a lifetime warranty!

WARRANTY
SHMOARRNTY
Who wants to be under that truck in the middle of winter putting a clutch in? Again!?
Parts are cheap compared to good labor.
PASS.
I try not to buy because of a warranty, I try to get what lasts.
Nothing lasts if you abuse it.
Most say replace the Dual Mass Flywheel with a solid unit.

I just bought a NAPA replacement & flywheel. The LUK stamp is visible on the pressure plate.
On sale - $425-ish yeah - its got a warranty.
I stepped up on a rebuilt 7.3, engine, company offers a decent warranty - please Lord - may I never need it.
There's a saying-
If you want clean fresh good oats, they cost more than the oats the horse already ate.
In this competitive market - one would be wise to ask why it is a manufacturer can offer a price so far below- 99% of the time it's with lower quality and cheaper components and cheaper labor.
-If I had a truck that needed a clutch to be able to sell - who cares if it only lasts 6 months. If I'm going to be driving the truck for a few years - a few dollars saved isn't quite as good a deal if I gotta re-do the job.
If I was selling - I'd still opt for the better parts - most knowlegeabe buyers will pay more for the truck if it's work & play ready.

Its not a performance clutch, if i rev my truck up and dump the clutch it will slip and smoke.
but its half the price of other kits, and for most daily drivers perfectly fine
AND
Just because it says Duralast does not mean its junk..
the clutch is made by Valeo, a major OEM supplier.

Rockauto sells the LUK standard clutch with a solid flywheel for $272.

You can get the same kit from them with a LUK ceramic disk for $350. I put the LUK kit in my truck (minus the SMF because I had one already) and had less than $200 in it. Even with the machining bill for my flywheel I had around $225 in the whole thing. The clutch drives GREAT too. The pressure plate must be different in this kit because it is much easier to use the clutch pedal since I've done this. Seriously this clutch feels like the one in my old ranger. I haven't slipped it yet and I've not been easy on it. Granted I'm not far above stock power levels but I wouldn't have any hesitation at all about recommending this kit.
I wouldn't get this sort of thing from Autozoo. I want to know who the parts were made by and I have had to use their "lifetime warranty" too many times to really trust their products. Certain things I will still get there, but not this kind of stuff.

One thing ive been looking to buy is just a ceramic or kevlar clutch disk only, none of the companies seem to sell them separately like they do gas motor clutches.
If i ever upgrade my engine it would be nice just to buy a disk instead of the whole kit

NAPA also has 2 parts price lines. the cheap china stuff over the counter people buy, and quality parts other people buy.
my store also has just about anything you could need for a modern vehicle in stock, and if they do not, the warehouse is only 15 miles away and they go there at least 3 times a day.
