I use autotempest.com. It searches a bunch of sites.
That's a great deal!

The one in CA is a deal for an original big back window with the SS insert still there. The AZ truck has been on here a number of times, it's a very nice truck but the reserve may be above your budget, but who knows, don't assume. It's a good possibility you could drive the AZ truck home, and it has a lot of the most important (and expensive) work already done, just waiting for the finishing touches. Note that the one year only 56 is always worth more than a 53-55, and an original BBW is quite rare and sought after.
PS: Hint: a small early engine truck driven sensibly doesn't need expensive disk brakes, the rebuilt OEM drums will stop it just fine.

I don't think the AZ blue one has been on here yet. We just picked it up 3 or 4 weeks ago in California. I'm sure JasonNoel will be along shortly to answer….

That red 56 that I picked up has a strait 6 223 ci I was told it was original with the three speed, the stock front axel and drum set up. The truck is fine for a daily driver and fun to drive, I drive it 3 days a week.

This is what I like to hear and what I'm looking for. Reassures me that I'll find what I'm looking for. I would much rather have a 56.

Looks like the blue AZ trucks reserve is beyond my budget especially with the cost of hauling or going to pick it up. What a nice truck though.

Also note that in the day the I-6 was often the preferred engine over the newly offered OHV V-8, strong (durability and HP), dependable, economical, easy to work on. There are still a lot of inexpensive dress up and go fast parts available for it, it was popular for many racing classes for many years. A cam and a set of headers, 4BBL or multicarb manifold, and you'll get a lot more people oohin' and ahhin' when you open the hood or start it up. I loved the one I had in my 57 ranch wagon.

Yeah, I like the inline six. I guess I find it a little more nostalgic. Don't get me wrong, I'll be happy with any motor as long as it runs good and is correct for the model.
