Also picked up 4 gallons of HD antifreeze. I forgot power steering fluid though. Would you put in ATF or steering fluid? Steering fluid tends to get a little thick at -40 so I'm tempted to put ATF in....

Right. Sorry about that. I'm talking °C. Been hanging around 0 all day. 10°C would be 50°F.

What's up with that? I took the oil filter off and there was loose pieces inside the filter element. Took it out and pieced it together and it's what you see in the first picture. Then there's the oil filter base. Do I need to go to Ford and replace that top part or what purpose does it serve there?

You and your buddy are gonna be experts on using that portable hoist to lift cabs off. I didn't realize it before but didn't use that truck once before to lift a cab off!!!
Good job, is it running yet.

We did try to set the cab onto that very truck with its own crane but because of the long reach it didn't work. Worked slick on this one though because we didn't have to extend it.

Yes sir, I got it running! I still have a few issues to address though. I guess I broke the coolant y-pipe coming from water pump to heater core and degas so I'll have to order a new one on Monday. Another $100.

Also, some reason the Minimaxx is not programming the EGR system properly as it's got a bunch of codes with engine and wrench light on. I don't know how to run the H&S. Can't even set it to use °C instead of °F! :-/

Should be straight forward, do you have an older model or a new one. If you have an older one I have a book and can help with that.

I don't know what model it is. I only purchased it about 2 weeks ago so I'd assume it to be a new one. How can I tell?

No, I didn't get a book with mine. Part number on my box is 7009. Yours may be different, but how do you switch tunes on yours? I selected "Easy" tunes when I installed it, but there was also 2 more. (I don't remember what they were called) I can switch up or down, but say I want to go back and run the bigger tuning, do I need to go back and "install download" again? It also had an option of adjusting low boost fueling, which I didn't change at all, but if I should want to go and tweak that, how do I get there?
Sorry, so many questions...

I checked out the manual at H&S website and it says that if the high sulfer tuning is installed, the EGR is automatically disabled. Well, I'm not getting any DPF codes but a pile of EGR codes so tomorrow I call the place I ordered it from. This won't do.

Ok, yes you have to reload software to tune up. I would try reloading and picking the highest set of tunes. Then you can adjust in that group of tunes using the buttons on the right. Maybe on the lowest group of tunes it doesn't disable the egr??
I run my truck on the high set in the stock ( no power) position.

That may be. It is my understanding that it should though.
Is there any way to set it metric? I searched the manual and could find nothing. I suppose I'll have to carry a convertor or unplug the tuner and use Torque Pro to monitor temps? I find °F too confusing. :-\
